Middle Fainennian sections in the Amessoui Syncline of the eastem Anti-Atlas in Morocco show rather variable platform
successions due to rapid facies changes.  From the interval between the two widely distributed beds with Maeneceras biferum   and Gonioclymenia speciosa, three locally distributed faunas with Platyclymenia annulata, Sporadoceras orbiculare, and Endosiphonites muensteri were discovered.  The ammonoid succession of the Amessoui Syncline allows correlation with the basin sections of the eastern Anti-Atlas.
