     The paleontological characteristics of Middle Carboniferous of the Moscow syneclise is given. The strati-
  graphic distribution of fusulinids, conodonts, brachiopods, tetracorals, ammonoids, bryozoans and vertebrates as
  well as some other groups in type and reference sections of the Moscovian Stage is discussed.  The new detail
  zonations on fusulinids and conodonts are proposed.  The most important fusulinids are illustrated.  The platforrn
  conodonts, ammonoids and part of tetracorals, as well as new species of brachiopods, bryozoans, vertebrates and
  some other groups are described. 1 family, 5 genera and 26 species are new.
