Klug, 2001, p.490: Erbenoceras with advolute conch up to 60 mm diameter (ww/dm = 0,20); the terminal whorl looses contact to the preceding one. Very wide umbilicus (uw/dm = 0,55-0,70). Low whorl expansion rate in early growth stages (1.5 at dm < 30 mm), moderate whorl expansion rate in the middle growth stages (1.7 to 1.9 at dm = 30 to 120 mm), and approximately 1.5 in the last whorl at 150 mm diameter; the whorl interspace rate lies between 1.0 and 1.6. At dm = 60 to 90 mm diameter 35 to 50 rursiradiate, convex ribs per whorl, and coarse growth lines run parallel to the ribs.
