the ornament is the coarsest un the group. In subadlts and adults, transverse striae have a tendency to a backward deflection running from the umbilucus to the venter. At 20 mm diameter there are 2 striae per 1 mm. I subadults and adults over 15 mm diameter there is a flattened area 1.5 mm wide near the umbilicus. The umbilical edge is subacute. The umbilicus is wide open in early adolescence and increases up to 17 mm diameter. Occasional shallow constrictions.

Differs from C. malhamense in a slightly smaller umbilicus, slightly greater degree of compression and by a tendency to a backward deflection of striae on the flanks. Constrictions are more infrequent.

Differs from C. leion in a larger umbilicusin the young and by a less inflated form. Constrictions are more infrequent
