Conch completely involute. Sculpture consisting only of growth
lines, sometimes with delicate spiral ornamentation. Ventral lobe
becoming extremely wide by subdivision.

Only ventral lobe subdivided. Adventitious lobe simple, pointed
(subfamily Dimorphoceratinae) [if subdivided, subfamily
Glyphiolobinae].

[Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1969, p.60]: Shell mainly
suboxyconic. Ventral lobe developed according to the formula   
(V1 V1)->(V1.1 V1.2 V1.2 V1.1)->V1.1 (V1.2.1 V1.2.1 V1.2.1
V1.2.1)V1.1.  Lateral lobe simple, mucronate.
