A: Conch of moderate size, "goniatitoid", broadly subdiscoidal or subglobular, strongly involute with narrow or closed
umbilicus. Septa adorally convex in median plane; septal necks long and cylindircal, but not forming a continuous
siphuncular tube in the very high chambers. No ventral keel.
B: Growth lines nearly rectiradiate, without prominent ribs, sometimes with faint spiral lines.
D: Whorls coiled triangularly with three deep constrictions at least on early ontogenetic stages.
G: Suture consisting of undivided narrow ventral and dorsal lobe, with three umbilical lobes. Sutural formula:
[Germ.] E L U2 U3 U1 I, [Russ.] V U U1:U2 I D.

The triangular feature of the wocklumeriids are regarded herein as analogous to conch characters of the
Parawocklumeriina, because these characters are also present in coeval species of the order Goniatitida; the
similarity appears to be the consequence of convergent evolution during the upper Famennian (Wocklumeria Stage).

Postglatziella carinata, E: Kamptoclymenia endogona, F: Riphaeoclymenia canaliculata, G: Parawocklumeria paradoxa,
H: Triaclymenia triangularis.
