1971  Verancoceras Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia: 282.

Type species: Verancoceras admirabile Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1971, p.282 [OD].

A:   Conch form like Quasicravenoceras, but broader and with irregular umbilicus.
F:   No spiral ornamentation.
G:   Ventral lobe very narrow, with low median saddle.

[Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1971, p.282: Conch not large to small, subdiscoidal to
sphaericone.  Whorls completely involute.  Towards the end of growth the umbilical seam
moves in ventral direction and the whorls become moderately involute.  Umbilicus
moderately tight, in adult specimens normally of an irregular, angular outline.
Sculpture expressed by weak lamella which form a ventral sinus.  Three constrictons
per whorl exist.  In adult forms they are only visible on the steinkern.  Ventral lobe
is not very thin, with rapidly parting sides and a very low medial saddle.  First outside
saddle is wide.  Later lobe small and upraised.]
