Type species: Winslowoceras henbesti Miller & Downs, 1948, p.679
[OD].

A:   Conch form discoidal, moderately evolute, with rather wide umbilicus; early whorls triangularly coiled. Ventrolateral
shoulders subangular, ventral side flattened or concave.
B,F: Growth lines biconvex crossed by faint longitudinal lirae.
G:   Ventral lobe short, relatively small. Second umbilical lobe on umbilical wall. Sutural formula [Germ.] (E1EmE1)ALU2:U1I,
       [Russ.] (V1V1)LU1U2:ID.

[Nassichuk, 1975, p.152: The conch of tpyical Winslowoceras has a wide umbilicus; U/D is at
least 40 per cent. Whorls are compressed and the venter is narrow and concave at maturity.
Shell ornament is reticulate; strong lateral growth lines form a moderately deep ventral
sinus, a shallow lateral sinus, and a high ventrolateral salient. During early ontogeny,
ribs occur parallel with growth lines across the umbilical shoulders and onto the lateral
flanks. Details of the external suture are particularly diagnostic. Prongs of the ventral
lobe are short and narrow and are first lateral saddle. The first lateral lobe is deep,
narrow, and attenuate, and the second is higher than the first. Sutural elements are added
during ontogeny by subdivion of the umbilical lobe; sutural formula is :
