Type species: Epijuresanites musalitini Popov, 1970, p.13 [OD].

[Popov,1970,p.134: Conch thickly discoidal, involute, with a tight umbilicus. Scupture weak. Suture consists of eight main
lobes. Prongs of ventral lobe wide, sharp. Neolateral lobe complicated, irregularly funnel-shaped, like Juresanites.]

[Ruzentsev, 1974, p.28]: Large, pachycone shell; W/D= 0.51-0.55. Whorls completely involute, semi-elliptical in cross
section. Umbilicus moderately narrow. Sculpture fine, represented by dense lirae and very fine lines; the lines form a weak
ventral projection. Ventral lobe very broad (wl/hl~1.20 in large specimens), with convex sides; median saddle high.
Lateral lobe fairly broad, dome shaped. Umbilical lobe in the initial stage of tripartite division; its outer tooth more strongly
developed than its inner one. With the exception of the level of development of the septum, this species is very similar in
all respects to Sverdrupites and Spirolegoceras, from which it is distinguished by the far weaker dentition of the umbilical
lobe.
