Type species: Diaboloceras peroccidens Gordon, 1969, p.C8 [OD].

[Ruzhentsev & Ganelin, 1971, p. 56]: Shell subdiscoconic. Whorls moderately evolute. Umbilicus of average
size. Sculpture reticulate, with transverse ribs predominating and forming ventral and lateral sinuses separated
by projection. Numerous radially-elongate tubercles developed along umbilical shoulder; these die out with age.
Ventral lobe broad (wl/hl> 1.30); its branches broader than the lateral lobe.Distinguished from other members
of the family by the development of umbilical tubercles and evidently by the more heavily expressed surface
sculpture.
