1992  Hypershumardites Popov: 55.

Type species: Hypershumardites zacharovi Popov,1992, p.56 [OD].

Conch medium-sized, pachyconic, with moderately narrow umbilicus, strongly involute. Whorls depressed, with convex
venter and flattended flanks. Shell surface smooth. Ventral lobe consists of two bifid prongs. Lateral lobe at medium
growth stage constisting of three separate lobes, first and third being bifid, the second slightly trifid. At medium growth
stage a tiny umbilical lobe appears close to the umbilical shoulder. There is a small wedge-shaped umbilical lobe on the
umbilical wall, the latter lobe is deeper than a tiny umbilical lobe at the umbilical shoulder.

Genus differs from Parashumardites in the more strongly developed ventral and lateral lobes and much weakly developed
second umbilical (lateral) lobe. From Shumardites it differs in the
presene of the tiny second umbilical lobe. (Popov 1992).
