Type species: Pseudoschartymites ningxiaensis Yang, p.160; OD.

[Yang, 1987, p.172: Conch small, involute, subdiscoidal, with arched venter, wide lateral side and closed umbilicus.
Surface marked by straight or slightly curved growth lines with fine lirae in between. Sutures goniatitic, with
moderately wide ventral lobe divided by a low medial saddle into two short acuminate prongs and wide lateral lobe.
Genus is closely similar to Schartymites and Paraschartymites in conch shape and ornamentation, but those have
wide ventral lobe, moderately high medial saddle and inverse bell-shape lateral lobes.].
