Type species: Rherisites tuba Klug: 230, Figs. 2A, 11, 12 [OD].

[Genus based mainly on holotype of type species. Very similar to Mimagoniatites, maybe its junior synonym.]

  Klug, 2001, p.230:      Evolute to advolute conch of  moderate to moderately large size; with a small
  imprint zone in juvenile, preadult, and adult whorls. Whorl cross-section subcircular in early growth stages,
  later subtrapezoidal, laterally flattened; venter tabular  in early whorls, rounded in preadult and adult whorls.
  Wide umbilicus with moderately large umbilical window (< 1 mm).  Protoconch short, stubby, and
  large (c. 1 mm).  Low WER (1.5 to 2.0) in juvenile whorls to very high in late preadult and adult whorls
  to (4.0 to 4.7). Sculpture with slightly rursiradiate ribs in embryonic and juvenile whorls; biconvex growth
  lines in preadult and adult whorls.  Suture line with a deep extemal lobe, a broad lateral lobe, and a small
  internal lobe; with subtle lateral septal inflexions.
