Minor ontogenetic changes of shell morphology (Fig. 54); adult shell pachyconic, with slowly expanding whorls (WER less than 1.60 in stages larger than 10 mm conch diameter); shell evolute throughout ontogeny. Adult suture with very narrow, subparallel-sided, weakly divergent external lobe with slightly incurved flanks; median saddle usually very low; ventrolateral saddle rounded; adventive lobe V-shaped.


Evolute shell at all stages differentiate this genus from other genera of the subfamily. Also from Semibollandites differs in the subparallel sides of the external lobe (V- shaped in Semibollandites)
